Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive dental care services to patients within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering high quality, patient centered oral healthcare services and represent CAHC in the community by participating in CAHC sponsored outreach events.

Task Responsibilities & Competencies:

*Include but are not limited to:

Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments.
Diagnose oral diseases and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
Perform restorative procedures including fillings, crowns and bridges.
Conduct extractions and other minor surgical procedures.
Measure and fit for removable dental appliances such as partials and dentures using traditional and digital methods.
Participate in school-based health and community outreach programs, as well as oral health education initiatives.
Provide required dental care as needed.
Refer patients to a specialist if needed.
Deliver culturally competent care to diverse and underserved populations.
Participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health records (HER).
Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of dental and Current State of Ohio Dental License.
Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population base.
Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare provider status.
Strong clinical background.
Expertise in denture fabrication, extractions, complex restorative and patient management.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.

*Possible eligibility for loan repayment options (example National Health Service Corps, Ohio Dentist Loan Repayment Program).
